Question   Expanding the Photographic Eye
Well Mis Adkins after reading the other comments, I see that several other people were attracted to that March issue of Color magazine by your beautiful cover image. I am a beginner photographer and I had just spent several days photographing a deteriating, 1950 Fiat in a filed, in the Molise region of Italy, that was screaming to be captured . But I could not figure out how to take it over the edge and really make it POP.

That is until I saw your work in Color and on your web site. Graet work. Now when I

Question   Congratulations for "Color Magazine"
Perusing the magazine rack at a Barnes&Nobles in Danbury, Connecticut and spotted the March 2011 issue of Color magazine. Mind you it was the day AFTER Christmas 2011 and the magazine is still out there! Glad I found it. My favorite image you created is "Dreaming of Spring" , Amarillo.

The article was a good read, thus leading me to your website to find we are both members of the BetterPhoto community! We have similar interest in regards to subject matter and post processing to express our vision. Wish you continued success!

Question   Comment on photos
Found your work in Color Magazine. Your photos are along the line that I have always wanted to do..."Alice in Wonderland" dreamscapes. Enjoyed your gallery. I have Adobe Photoshop and have played around with layers, but somehow, I never get quite the effect that I want. Love the dry brush effect in background with your old car photos. Wonderful work.

The beauty of tattered, functionally obsolete artifacts. Your connection to the images you make are amazing.

What cameras do you like to use?

- Kate Becker 2/7/2011 5:50:51 PM

Answer Thank you Kate. I use all Nikon bodies, the D70, D80 and D300 and a variety of lenses, mainly Nikkor. I post process in Photoshop CS5 and Photomatix for HDR.

Question   Elegant Composite Car & t
I've been photographing relic cars and trucks for awhile. While I like the work I've produced, I've always thought there was something lacking. Your composite images are elegant, compelling and inspiring.

Thank you for sharing your work, so that others such as myself might learn.

All the best,
John
